About Us

Whether you're expecting your first child, have a baby, toddler, or your youngest is in Kindergarten ... MOPS is for you!  Here, you will find friends, mentors, speakers, and activities all focused on helping you be the mom and woman you want to be.

Kent MOPS is designed to meet the needs of expectant moms and moms with children ranging from infancy to Kindergarten.  We believe that mothering matters and we exist to help moms connect, grow and become the mom they each desire to be.  We do this through bi-weekly meetings during each month of the regular school year.  Each member is placed in a discussion group which gathers at each MOPS meeting as well as various group events throughout the MOPS year.

How Does it Work?

Our doors open at 9:15 am for MOPPETS drop-off.  Moms then meet in the church sanctuary for an exciting 9:30 am MOPS meeting.  A typical meeting consists of casual discussion while completing a quick, stylish craft and enjoying a snack with coffee or tea.  That is followed by a speaker with a relevant topic for us to consider and discuss.  Past topics have included: marriage, health, childhood development, anger, and finances.  Each meeting ends at 11:30 am.  For more information or to register please contact our Discussion Group Coordinator or click the following link to download the registration form and bring it with you to a MOPS meeting.

 The yearly $45 non-refundable fee includes the following:

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. MOPS International exists to meet the needs of every mom - urban, suburban and rural moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single and married moms - moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be.

This year we are excited to introduce the 2010-11 MOPS theme: Momology, The Art & Science of Mothering! Together we will explore how mothering is part art, part science, and always a work in progress! Because we truly are ... Better Together.
