Our group couldn't be where it is without many amazing helping hands each week. If you're considering being involved on a higher level, or if you want to be involved in a smaller level as a DGL, we'd love to have you! Available Positions

 

Meeting Activities Coordinator

 

For leading her team of activity specialists, the Meeting Activities Coordinator is to:

  • Create and develop craft ideas for meeting members

  • This is to include execution of craft, scheduling of crafts, purchasing craft supplies and operate inside a designated craft budget for meetings

  • Craft preparation ahead of meetings, setting up crafts prior to meeting start (including directions and examples) and taking down, sorting and putting away after meetings

  • 3-4 crafts per year

  • Responsible for keeping craft section of closet organized

  • Purchase and/or pick up and/or arrange items for door prizes at meetings

  • Deciding on, creating and executing games and/or activities or icebreakers at meetings

  • Clothing Swap

  • Coordinating  both the fall date and spring daters prior to the beginning of the new year / kick off

  • Sets out tables and donates leftover clothing to local charities (coordinate with  Community Relations Officer)

  • Coordinate with Public Relations Coordinator on posting/email for videos, handouts etc. from Speakers for members who miss meetings

  • Encourage and equip in role of mentoring

  • Build team through prayer times, devotionals, discussions and gatherings

 

In working with the Steering Team, the Meeting Activities Coordinator is to:

  • Attend steering meetings

  • Encourage team and individuals

  • Work with the Hospitality Coordinator and coordinate to create cohesive and engaging meetings

  • Attend and help with social functions (auction, special events, park days, etc.)

  • Offer advice or counsel when needed

  • Be able to communicate frequently through text/email and respond promptly

  • Attend Retreat with Steering Team

  • Setup the day/night before MOPS meetings, as scheduled by the Coordinator, as well as takedown of meetings

Public Relations Coordinator

 

In leading a team, the Public Relations Coordinator is responsible to:

  • Facilitate communication among MOPS/MOMSnext moms through newsletters, emails, presentation slides and fliers (on an as-needed basis)

  • Coordinate and Manage Public and Private social media outlets

  • Creatively publicize MOPS/MOMSnext meetings and special events taking place in the community through a variety of communication tools – such as email blasts, social media, paper etc.

  • Maintain and Update Kent MOPS/MOMSnext public website

  • Work with the Marketing Coordinator to coordinator and communicate branding and theme for current MOPS/MOMSnext year

  • Coordinate with Meeting Activities Coordinator on posting/email for videos, handouts etc. from Speakers for members who miss meetings

  • Exhibits writing skills and can organize information, meet deadlines, edit when necessary, and put together material that reflects quality in both appearance and content

  • Encourage and equip in role of mentoring

  • Build team through prayer times, devotionals, discussions and gatherings

 

In working with the Steering Team, the Public Relations Coordinator is to:

  • Attend steering meetings

  • Encourage team and individuals

  • Work with the Marketing Coordinator to promote and establish marketing vision and direction

  • Attend and help with social functions (auction, special events, park days, etc.)

  • Offer advice or counsel when needed

  • Be able to communicate frequently through text/email, and responds promptly

  • Attend Retreat with Steering Team

  • Setup the day/night before MOPS meetings, as scheduled by the Coordinator, as well as takedown of meetings

Finance Coordinator

 

As the Finance Coordinator, you are responsible to:

  • Work closely with the accountant at Faith to balance the budgets for each team monthly

  • Work with the MOPS/MOMSnext Coordinators to establish yearly budget

  • Work closely with the registration team in the Spring

    • Ensure registration forms are filled out completely and legibly

    • Write form of payment at the top of the registration form

    • Register all paid members with MOPS International upon completed

  • Registers new moms throughout the year

  • Ensure that the process is correctly executed for payments, deposits, and reimbursements per Faith’s standards

  • Be responsible for payment of speaker’s fees etc.

  • Create and maintain an Excel file to track registration of moms (contact info, kids, etc.)

  • Create and maintain an Excel file to track a waitlist of moms wanting to register

  • Work with the Marketing Coordinator for larger events (i.e. auction, fundraising events)

  • Encourage and equip in role of mentoring

  • Build team through prayer times, devotionals, discussions and gatherings

 

In working with the Steering Team, the Secretary Treasurer Coordinator is to:

  • Attend steering meetings

  • Encourage team and individuals

  • Attend and help with social functions (auction, special events, park days, etc.)

  • Offer advice or counsel when needed

  • Be able to communicate frequently through text/email and respond promptly

  • Attend Retreat with Steering Team

  • Setup the day/night before MOPS/MOMSnext meetings, as scheduled by the Coordinator, as well as takedown of meetings

Discussion Group Leader Coordinator

 

For leading her team of Discussion Group Leaders, the DGL Coordinator is to:

  • Choose and interview DGLs with MM Coordinator (if possible)

  • Work side by side with Mentor Mom Coordinator to plan training for DGLs/MM, add other training sessions throughout the year

  • Work alongside with Mentor Mom Coordinator to plan mid-year check in for leadership and Steering Team members

  • Contact the Pastor at Faith  to speak at Testimony training day or use previous audio for training

  • Create and Coordinate Mops Kids schedule where each table is assigned to help in the classrooms during the meeting two or three times per year

  • Create and Coordinate a rotating breakfast schedule for the year

  • Manage table assignments of MOPS members throughout the year

  • Create and maintain attendance sheets and track meeting attendance (report to Coordinator if consecutive absences and address on case by case basis),collect and give to Faith Church every meeting and make copy for yourself

  • Communicate with her team of DGLs throughout the year

  • Help with MOPS/MOMSnext registration in Spring and Fall

  • Encourage and equip in role of mentoring DGLs and raising up leaders

  • Build team through prayer times, devotionals, discussions and gatherings

 

In working with the Steering Team, the DGL Coordinator is to:

  • Attend steering meetings

  • Encourage team and individuals

  • Work with the Mentor Mom Coordinator to match, train and communicate with DGL/Mentor teams to create community and cohesiveness

  • Attend and help with social functions (auction, special events, park days, etc.)

  • Offer advice or counsel when needed

  • Be able to communicate frequently through text/email and respond promptly

  • Attend Retreat with Steering Team

  • Setup the day/night before MOPS/MOMSnext meetings, as scheduled by the Coordinator, as well as takedown of meetings

Marketing Coordinator

For leading her team, the Marketing Coordinator is to:

  • Integrate and introduce yearly branding and theme from MOPS International

  • Create and distribute Welcome Packet and marketing materials needed by Coordinators

  • Coordinate fundraising opportunities for the MOPS & MOMSnext groups to create income, including auction and other marketing ideas

  • Create Steering tshirts for the year with Mops International theme branding

  • Maintain external website image and branding

  • Work with AV team on slideshow or recordings

  • Develop, plan and execute yearly Auction:

- Coordinate Steering team members to help in procurement opportunities

- Works with Coordinators to secure auctioneer, catering, dessert dash, entertainment, etc.

- Works with Coordinators and Steering team to develop Auction check in/check out process, paperwork, and receipts for all donations

- Operates within a designated budget

  • Encourage and equip in role of mentoring

  • Build team through prayer times, devotionals, discussions and gatherings

Community Relations Coordinator

As the Community Relations Coordinator, you are responsible to:

  • Service Projects: With team input, create service projects in Fall/Winter, Spring. Plan/Organize/Execute service projects from idea through completion

  • Special Events: Create Special Events throughout the year (Mom’s nights out, Group outings, etc). Plan/Organize/Execute special events from idea through completion

  • Indoor Playground: Choose 3 or 4 Indoor Playground Days to be held at Faith Church throughout the year. Coordinate with DGLs to host Playground Days for their tables and sister tables

  • Summer Park Days: Choose dates and parks with Steering prior to end of year

  • Meal Trains: Coordinate the need for meal trains/help for members with input from DGLs (new babies, injuries, death, etc.)

  • Coordinate and communicate with Marketing Coordinator and Public Relations Coordinator to create marketing materials for service projects, special events, indoor playground and summer park days

  • Coordinate and communicate with DGL Coordinator for assistance with events to be hosted by DGLs (MNO, Social Events, Indoor Playground etc.)

  • Encourage and equip in role of mentoring

  • Build team through prayer times, devotionals, discussions and gatherings

 

 

In working with the Steering Team, the Community Relations Coordinator is to:

  • Attend steering meetings

  • Encourage team and individuals

  • Work with the Marketing Director to communicate with teams

  • Attend and help with social functions (auction, special events, park days, etc.)

  • Offer advice or counsel when needed

  • Be able to communicate frequently through text/email and respond promptly

  • Attend Retreat with Steering Team

  • Setup the day/night before MOPS meetings, as scheduled by the Coordinator, as well as takedown of meetings
